Amanda’s voice is her instrument and she loves to play. She loves developing and challenging her voice and her musicality, always to keen to explore new genres and develop what has become her own “distinctly mellow” trademark style.
Amanda enjoys performing songs with good lyrics and great melodies. Audiences are always treated to a quality musical experience in which they are able to hear the words and feel the meaning.
Amanda’s first major performance was when she was 13, singing Everly Brothers duets and Bob Dylan folk. At 14, she was singing Frank Sinatra and Elkie Brooks to large audiences. In her 20s, Amanda was singing Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams, moving onto Diana Ross, Dire Straits, Roberta Flack and Dusty Springfield in her 30s. She also had a lot of fun in musical theatre performing everything from Gilbert and Sullivan to Stephen Sondheim.
Amanda has occasionally worked as a session vocalist for new songwriters and, most recently, has joined forces with Robbie Winelight, an experienced and accomplished pianist and keyboard player. Their combined talents create a duo who can offer an extensive playlist for cocktail/lounge bar venues and functions as well as entertainment for large or small corporate functions, weddings and parties of all kinds. An experienced and talented drummer is also able to join Amanda and Robbie to create a trio when required.
